Ngā Māia Māori Midwives o Aotearoa Trust is entering a new chapter as IWAIWA.

This is more than a new name or visual identity. IWAIWA carries forward the whakapapa, courage and achievements of Ngā Māia while navigating toward who we are becoming as a national collective. Our kaupapa remains steadfast: to uphold the mana motuhake of ira hapū, strengthen and nurture Kahu Pōkai, protect mātauranga Māori, and advocate for care that honours the aspirations and rangatiratanga of the whānau we serve.
